Calling all Budding Film Makers!

We are looking for volunteers to help with the production of a Tung Sing DVD

The DVD will be given to all new tenants at sign up, and will cover all aspects of Tung Sing’s service, e.g. how to report a repair, and what to do if you are experiencing anti social behaviour. Volunteers are needed to…

• Help form an Editorial Panel to agree the content of the DVD – both the words and the video footage
  
• Help with the English and Cantonese ‘voice over’ on the DVD
  
• Appear on camera, and maybe even answer questions about life as a Tung Sing tenant
  
• Help with the video filming – training will be given

We are also hoping to have background music on the DVD. If you or anyone you know plays an instrument and would like to provide us with some suitable music then please let us know

Have your say on ASB

We are looking for a resident to join the Arena Anti-Social Behaviour Focus group. The focus group helps to shape what we do and how we do it, by:

• commenting on policies and procedures
  
• reading new leaflets and publicity to ensure they are clear and easy to understand,
  
• helping to monitor progress against the Respect Action plan

Arena welcomes Tung Sing to the Group

To welcome us to the Arena Housing Group, Arena have kindly donated a sum of money to Tung Sing for us to spend on our residents

The Equality and Diversity Unit have been busily talking to you all to find out how you want this money to be spent. Ideas that you have come up with include:

• Giving out small grants for scheme initiatives
  
• A new minibus
  
• Notice boards at schemes
  
• Setting up a tenant reward scheme
  
• New communal lighting at specific schemes
  
• Personal attack alarms
  
• CO2 detectors
  

We are still gathering some final ideas from you and will be agreeing how we spend the money in the coming days and weeks. We will keep you all informed by the newsletter as to how the money is being spent
